New Lobbyists’ Code of Conduct Comes into Force on December 1, 2015

Published on:

The Commissioner of Lobbying has published the Lobbyists’ Code of Conduct (2015) in the Canada Gazette. An Annotated Lobbyists’ Code of Conduct (2015) and guidance for lobbyists are available on the Office of the Commissioner of Lobbying website. Information sessions will be organized to help lobbyists understand the requirements of the Lobbying Act and the Lobbyists’ Code of Conduct. Given that this is the first time in almost 20 years that the Lobbyists’ Code of Conduct has been changed, you are encouraged to share this information with others in your organization who may be lobbying or have an interest in the federal lobbying regime. The 1997 version of the Lobbyists’ Code of Conduct remains in force until it is replaced on December 1, 2015.
