Report on the 2013 Consultation – Lobbyists’ Code of Conduct

Published on:

On May 21, 2014, the Office of the Commissioner of Lobbying tabled a report on consultations held last fall with regards to possible amendments to the Lobbyists’ Code of Conduct. The report reflects several recommendations put forward by GRIC and the Public Affairs Association of Canada (PAAC) in our joint submission filed on December 20, 2013 and sets out several specific areas for further consultation and consideration as OCL works toward proposed revisions to the Code to be tabled with the House of Commons Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics in the fall. GRIC will remain fully engaged in this process and will arrange a consultation session in the near future with GRIC members on the areas identified by the report.
